The municipality of Wenns lies in the district of Imst, covers an area of 29.6km² and has 2,020 inhabitants. The village lies in a valley basin at the junction to the Piller Höhe. Across the Piller Höhe you get into the Kaunertal or further towards the Reschenpass or Landeck. Thanks to its central location, Wenns has developed into the main village of the valley. There are two supermarkets, a sports shop, three restaurants, a bar, two bank branches and a gas station. Numerous hamlets and farms are part of the municipality. The village presents its most beautiful side in every season.
